Relay for Life Info:

Bank day is coming!  On June 2nd, students will report to JMS anytime between 9:00 - 12:00 to turn in their money envelopes and their luminary sheets.  The envelope MUST be signed by a parent and all money MUST be in check form - we are no longer able to accept cash.  Please make checks out to The American Cancer Society.  Once there, students will sign up for their jobs for the actual relay event.  Relay is on June 8th and June 9th.  We are also looking for parent volunteers to help supervise during the relay event.  If you are available for an hour or two (or more!) and are willing to help, please attend with your child on June 2nd to sign up.  Thank you!

Just a reminder...each member is required to attend a minimum of 6 meetings.  The meetings that are 4 hours long for making cookies count as 2 meetings.  The 2 hour meetings are usually at JMS and the 4 hour cookie meetings take place at the Lakeview High School cafeteria.  If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at sbowman@scslakeview-k12.com.

If you have any questions about your child's progress or behavior, please feel free to e-mail me at sbowman@scslakeview-k12.com.  The parent portal of Power School is now up and running, so you are now able to view your child's grades in any class at any time.  But if there are any additional questions you have, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Important Announcements:

Science final exam will be split over 2 days...Monday, June 11th and Tuesday, June 12th.  If for some reason your child will not be here all day on Tuesday, June 12th and will miss science class, they MUST make arrangements ahead of time with me to finish their final exam AFTER SCHOOL ON MONDAY, JUNE 11TH.

The parent portal is now up and running for PowerSchool.  If you want to view your child's grades in ANY class, you can log on through the portal to view.  Go to www.lakeview.misd.net for a tutorial on how to access your child's grades.

Upcoming Assessment:
Test re-takes--students must attend a study session Tues, 5/23 at lunch and re-take Thurs, 5/25 at lunch.
